When I first heard that Maroon 5 was coming to Chicago about 6 months ago, I went crazy. I bought my tickets right away, and I started a countdown.
In all honestly, my six months wait for this concert was SOOOOO worth it.
The concert started with Owl City and Neon Trees wilding up the crowd… Owl City was really good but Neon Trees was unfortunately kind of disappointing. Neon Trees only sang two of their famous songs: ” Everybody Talks” and “Animal”.
Now let’s skip forward to the fun stuff, Maroon 5. They were beyond amazing. They first wilded up the crowd with “Payphone”. They then moved on to mellow songs like “Sunday Morning”. Lead singer Adam Levine made the crowd go crazy. The band sang songs from all of their albums, such as ” Makes Me Wonder” from their second album and “It Won’t Be Soon Before Long” and “Harder to Breathe” from Songs About Jane.
My favorite performance from that night (even though it is extremely hard to pick one) is “She Will Be Loved”. Right when Levine started singing, everybody pulled out their phones. The stairs were down at that point so Levine was closer than ever.
Unfortunately, the night had to end, but Levine didn’t let his crowd go without an amazing finale with “Daylight” and “Moves Like Jagger”.
Maroon 5 will be back in Chicago August 25, so you should definitely check them out.
