What is your name and grade level? My name is Cassey Delos Reyes, and I am a senior.
What activities are you involved in? I am involved in Auroris, Filipino Club, Kapit Bayan (Filipino Cultural Dance), and Vocal Jazz.
What is your favorite part of dancing? I love seeing other members grow throughout the season. I also love that everyone is so unique in their styles. I think it is so cool that we could all be doing the same move, but it could look slightly different depending on who is dancing.
What is a lesson you’ve learned from dancing for so long? I’ve learned to be patient with myself. I now understand that rarely do you get something on the first try, but if you really work towards it and give yourself grace, then it won´t seem so impossible.
Who sparked your interest in dance? I think that a couple of years ago, my friend really encouraged me to join Auroris, and ever since then, dance has been a huge part of my life.
What is one of your unpopular opinions? I think that sugar cookies are gross, but everyone seems to love them.
What is your favorite place you’ve traveled to? I really loved Cancún, Mexico. I had a ton of fun swimming in caves or with the dolphins. I also loved the trip our choir program took to Disney last year.
What is one of your weird talents? As a child, I was really good at making card towers. I’m not totally sure I can do it now, though.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why? I would like the ability to stop time because a lot of the time, I feel like there’s not enough time in a day to do everything I need to do.
What is one of your biggest pet peeves? I think that it would have to be when people don’t respect mine or others’ time. It is just so annoying.
If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be and why? It would probably be sushi or ramen. I feel like there are a lot of different types or styles of them so it wouldn’t get boring.
