Bolu Apantaku, Senior
What is your name and grade? Bolu Apantaku, Senior.
How long have you been playing/in the club? My senior year was the first time I participated in DECA.
What is the best memory you have from this year so far? The DECA state trip in Rosemont, Illinois.
What is your favorite part of playing/being in the club? Being able to connect to like minded people who have the same goals as me, and them helping me to achieve those goals.
How do you overcome the nerves when you’re about to compete? I try to motivate myself and remind myself of all the practices and hard work that I put in to be in the position I am in today.
Do you have a superstition before you compete? Whenever I go into any competition, I want to go to sleep early so that I can be prepared for the competition.
Would you recommend anyone to try and if so why? 100%, because it’ll give you the experience that you never knew you needed. There is a perfect balance between competing and having a lot of fun. Meeting new people you never knew even went to the same school and connecting with them.
What’s been your biggest accomplishment? Myself, because I think my thought process always has a positive side to it.
What’s your favorite activity outside of school? Filming, I own a YouTube channel named “MMF_TheFamily”. I’ll be posting there even after my graduation.
What is your favorite TV show? How I Met Your Mother
