What is your name and department? Mr. Langiya. I mostly teach math but over the summer I also help with social studies.

What made you want to be a teacher? Growing up I always had a lot of help from my teachers; it was a place that always felt like home. I always had a great experience and in general I love helping others learn.

What is your favorite thing about teaching? My favorite thing is the ongoing growth. No matter how much you learn there’s always more either from coworkers or students. It’s great to learn from them as you also teach them.

Have any students made any sort of impact in your life? A few students come to mind…I’ve seen them from year to year and I love watching them grow along with their positive attitude and energy to not only me, but also to other students and teachers. I feel honored to just be a small part of their growth.

Do you have any hobbies? I spend most of my free time with my kids, however I’m also really into reading, praying, and also following sports.

What’s one thing a student might not know about you? I am very passionate about sports, especially baseball and basketball. I also follow politics like crazy.

Are you more of an introvert or extrovert? I’m definitely more of an extrovert. I love working with as many students and colleagues as possible. I function the best when I’m around others and having social interactions.
