What is something you’d want to tell your freshman self? To get more involved in the school and prioritize sleep.
What is a change that you hope to see at North before and or after you graduate? I would love for there to be equity training for security guards implemented from the school board. Our school is so diverse and it’s important that every student feels/is safe.
Why do you if you do think that it’s important to be involved around the school? I think building connections is key to staying involved in groups/organizations that you’re passionate about. Some of my best friends are in dance marathon (DM) and Black Student Union (BSU). It’s a lot more fun and easier to hold yourself accountable when there’s a support system.

What high school moment are you most proud of? My proudest high school moment has to be speaking at the district board meeting alongside Niles West and Niles North BSU. It’s difficult to be vulnerable about racial issues and advocate for yourselves and others, but very necessary.
Miles is a senior at Niles North. He plays on the golf team and enjoys listening to motown.
