Final Exams; What to expect, how to prepare
With only 3 weeks left until winter break, students will soon be partaking in final exams on Dec. 21-23 to wrap up the semester.
On Nov. 21, Assistant Principal Marlon Felton sent out an email to all students and staff regarding the final exam schedule. Each day is split up into 4 periods. Each period is 90 minutes, with 10-minute passing periods in between. The last period of each day is for make-up/conflicts in room 1100. Early bird classes are set to take their exams on Tuesday, Dec. 19, and Wednesday Dec. 20.
Students are required to attend every period of the final exam days, even if their class is not taking a final. They are only allowed to leave during their lunch and study hall periods. If you have lunch or study hall in between 2 exam periods, don’t worry. The IRC (Niles North Library) hours and cafeteria hours are scheduled for students.
Managing time and studying for finals can be stressful. Here are some tips that could be useful.
“My number one tip is while studying for finals, I feel so much more productive at a library or coffee shop rather than my home,” senior Amelia Austria said. “Also make sure to pace yourself, because I know it can get overwhelming.”
As finals week approaches, take into consideration these tips and tricks to help make the study process easier.
