LatinX club celebrates their culture with movie night
LatinX held a movie night for fundraising on Friday, Sept. 30.
Students chose whether to watch the movie in the courtyard or in the New Ccommons. The movie night started around 6 p.m.
Students paid a $2 entry fee to watch the movie Spare Parts. The movie is about 4 hispanic students that try to start a Robotics club with a low budget, little materials, and little to no experience. The movie was a great representation for LatinX culture and was targeted to be relatable towards LatinX students.
To go with the movie, hot chocolate was served for $1 and snack packs filled with goodies for $2.
“The movie was super inspiring and hit very close to home,” senior club member Alex Reyes said. “I really enjoyed the event and hope to have more movie nights that represent the LatinX culture.”
Students and staff that are interested in more events hosted by LatinX can check their emails from the Student Activities Newsletter or take a look here at their Hispanic Heritage Month Calendar.
