Using our $20 to support spirit week, things to do over Spring Break

Billy and I choose to spend our $20 in support of spirit week by getting the $4 drink “impulse” selling outside the cafeteria.

Although we chose to get the impulse drinks, our original plan was to go to Starbucks, get coffee and then enjoy our beverages in the cafe.

But with times being so hectic we could only meet each other at school. Soon all of these frenzies will come to a stop with spring break coming up next week.

Spring break you will have a lot more time to spare. Time is an inexpensive and loving gift that you can give to anyone (including yourself). Your friends or family will definitely be grateful to see you but more than usual!

Here are a few more activities that you can do over spring break:

  • Self-care day: You can get stuff from even the dollar tree, like bubble bath soaps & lotions
  • Coloring & Drawing: Did you know that when you are coloring & drawing, you are actively using both sides of your brain, the right for creativity, and the left for logical thinking?
  • Cook a meal: It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, something basic would be just fine. Fun fact cooking helps boost your self-esteem!
  • Buy a puzzle: Puzzles help relieve stress and anxiety and they have been shown in other research to reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease. So keep your brain refreshed and active!
  • Go to the park: Being in nature lowers stress, promotes happiness, and improves productivity.
  • Going on a walk: There are a lot of physical and mental health benefits to walking, don’t believe us just look them up!
