With under two seconds to play, Niles North finds themselves down one with the ball, just enough time for one last shot. Senior center Cyrus Walker got just enough separation to catch the inbound cleanly and get off a shot.  As the final buzzer rang throughout the arena, he drilled the shot, giving Niles North the 55 -53 win over Maine South on Feb. 23.

After North basketball’s great season, they qualified for the regional tournament, with Maine South as their first opponent. After Wednesday’s win, North will continue their season tomorrow against #2 ranked Glenbrook South for the regional championship at Maine South. Tickets will be $5 at the door, so come support our Vikings as they look to be regional champions against Glenbrook South.
