Biden signs executive order to expand healthcare
The federal government’s Affordable Care Act healthcare program is accepting enrollment once again. President Biden signed a directive on January 28th that will allow more Americans to get medical insurance who would never have had the chance.
Under the Trump administration, the ACA stopped allowing citizens to sign up for healthcare. Biden has rolled back that restriction and kick-started a review of any governmental regulations that might stand in the way of Americans getting covered.
“I understand, like my dad, [fellow Americans] lay in bed at night, staring at the ceiling, wondering ‘Can I keep my healthcare?” Biden said regarding the coverage. “I promise you, I get it.”
