The IHSA has elected to keep boys and girls basketball in the winter season and released on Jan. 28 that seasons can start immediately and will run through March 13. 

Student-athletes will remain six feet apart when not involved in any basketball drill, scrimmage, or game. Niles North basketball athletes are beyond excited to get the season they have been waiting for for a while.

“I’m happy that we are getting to have an opportunity to play this season since it is my senior year,” senior Girls Varsity player Meryam Belbaz said. “Although it is a short and different season than usual and I’m excited to get on the court playing games along with my teammates.”  

Basketball games will take place but only against schools that are in our conference-CSL North. The first games of the season will be on Saturday, Feb. 6 against Glenbrook North. Here are the game times:
