Boys Swimming and Diving start their season
The Niles North Boys Swimming and Diving season officially started yesterday with their first home meet scheduled on Friday, December 13 against Niles West at 4:30 p.m.
This year, they will be competing in a total of 13 meets for the varsity, junior varsity, and freshman teams.
“Since I’m a freshman, this is the first year I am going to be competing with Niles North,” freshman Ariel Strubel Iram said. “I’m really excited to start the season with the rest of my teammates. My main goal is to improve my times and my best swimming stroke is breaststroke.”
Jason Nguyen, a sophomore who competed with the junior varsity team last season and who is currently in varsity says, “I’m looking forward to meeting new people and practice more. My goals this season are to make new friends and get faster at swimming.”
The swimming and diving competition meets will be between December 13 to February 22 so come support the team as much as you can!
