On Saturday, North’s boys basketball team lost a close game to traditional rival, the Niles West Wolves.
The beginning of the game was very intense with both teams giving the game their very best. With only two seconds until halftime and the Wolves in the lead, Viking senior Malachi Nix made a dramatic shot halfway down the court, bringing the Vikings in the lead at the end of the first half.
The heat of the game picked up in the second half. Neither team looked like they were willing to lose, but as always, only one team can win. At the end of the game, the players were all exhausted, and the victorious team was feted.
The Niles West Wolves claimed the victory with a score of 67-63.
