The Vikings may not have laid claim to the sectional championship seat tonight, but they did claim the respect of their fans. Even supporters of the opposing team acknowledged the Viking grit, spunk and clutch-playing.
The Vikings worked hard in the first match, and kept it close until the end when the New Trier Trevians took the match 25-21.
The second match became even closer when scores went head to head for the majority. In the end the formidable Trevians eked out a slim victory, taking the game 25-23.
The Trevians will move on to the sectional championship this Thursday.

Great season, Vikings. That last game was hard-driving excitement. You can be proud. The school certainly is.
