The annual Niles North musical “13” debuted yesterday and runs until tomorrow.“13” is a Broadway musical, with music by Jason Robert and is based on a book by Dan Elish and Robert Horn.
“13” follows Evan Goldman, a teenager who moves from the big city of New York, to Appelton Indiana after his parents divorce. Once he moves, Evans’ goal is to find friends to attend his upcoming bar mitzvah. Through the story Evan and other characters realize that they still have a lot of growing up to do.
“It was hilarious and it mimicked how this generation really acts, which made it relatable and that’s why I enjoyed it,” sophomore Dewayne Thornton said.
Performances are at 7 p.m. today, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 12. Tickets are $10 at the box office.
