With the convention season booming after San Diego Comic Con, Chicago is bringing the wonder of comics, entertainment, and games to the Windy City with Wizard World Comic Con Chicago at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. Starting on Thursday, Aug  20 and continuing through Sunday, Aug 23, all lovers of anything geeky are dying for a change to meet celebrities, buy new art, and dress up to their heart’s content.

This year’s star line-up includes The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus, Jeremy Renner, b-horror movie legend Bruce Campbell, and Doctor Who companion Billie Piper along with many more star studded appearances from WWE wrestlers and comic book artists.

While the fest is in full swing, this will be the second year that Bruce Campbell will be hosting his Horror Film Festival, with appearances by numerous celebrities from the Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead movies, and Tobin Bell, aka Jigsaw from the Saw series. Admission to the event is free for Comic Con badge holders at a first come first serve basis and they will hold movie screenings of many cult classics.

“I’m so excited for Comic Con! They usually have a lot of my favorite actors and this year they have my absolute favorite actress! I’m planning on meeting her and getting her autograph on Saturday,” said sophomore Emily Cohen.

With tickets costing between $40 for Thursday to a VIP experience with Hawkeye himself for over $200, fans will be able to access a range of experiences at this celebration of the nerd world.
