Niles North is hosting the inaugural Dan Horyn Track and Field Invitational in memory of Dan Horyn, a beloved English teacher and Track coach that passed away earlier this school year.

The Invitational will be held on Apr. 25th. The meet will begin at 4:30 p.m. At 5:40 p.m., there will be a short ceremony where Horyn will be inducted into the Wall of Honor. Before he passed away, he was informed of this event. The ceremony will be  attended by his family and beloved runners.

To end the night, there will be a featured event, the “Dan Horyn Mile,” at 8:30 p.m. which will include some of the top runners in the state.

All proceeds from admissions and concessions will support the Dan Horyn Scholarship Fund.
